Ever since I was a little girl people have used the word "creative" to describe me. This word has followed me my whole life. I consider it a gift.
I've expressed that creative (or crafty) ability over the years doing many craft projects. These include ceramics, crocheting, knitting, counted cross stitch and oil painting. The one thing I never studied but loved to do was take photographs to chronicle my families life events. I have more photos than any normal person should.
10 years ago I decided to put together a scrapbook containing pictures of all the vacations my family has taken over the past 20+ years. I wanted to do this as a remembrance for the family. It's certain that when a family member comes to visit that a scrapbook is going to be taken off the shelf and lots of reminicing will be done.
While that family vacation scrapbook is very "raw" or "plain" by comparison to what I do today, it remains my favorite because out of making that book my love for this hobby was born. Many books later here I am starting my own business, doing what I love most and hoping to share the hobby with others. People who know me know that my family and friends are my true passion in life and every moment I spend with them that I can preserve thru scrapbooking is a moment I treasure and can share for years to come.
My scrapbooking style involves pairing colors and embellishments that help to compliment the pictures and make the pages jump out at you. I like to help the pictures story come alive thru catchy titles, quotes, embellishments and journaling. I want each page to tell a story.
