I began scrapbooking in high school when I bought a giant sketchbook and started assembling all of the trinkets I obtained from the events of my life. Ticket stubs, programs, flowers, napkins, name tags and postcards were just some of the things I kept in order to reminisce about the special moments in my life and the everyday events of growing up. Since then my scrapbooking has become more refined, but also my passion for preserving the memories more potent.

I now have a strong portfolio in design and photography, as I am finishing up my BFA in photography at College for Creative Studies, in Detroit, as well as continuing my job as a creative retoucher and commercial photographer.

My scrapbooking style is one that is contemporary and organic. Often times I feel that it's the paper that chooses the flow of the design.  For my personal scrapbook, I tend to create the pages first and then shoot the pictures later. Some pages sit waiting for the perfect photo and others I joke, are too nice to put photos on. Even still today, I think it's sometimes the extras, the napkins, the ticket stub or the postcard that make a page special.

I currently live in the Detroit area with my boyfriend of eight years and our two cats. Even though school, work, photography and scrapbooking leave little free time, I also try to enjoy, other forms of art, tennis, hanging with the greatest group of friends, and the occasional good book.
